I started working at Live Oak Animal Clinic in May of 2012. I received my undergraduate degree in Animal Bioscience with a minor in Agronomy from Pennsylvania State University in 2002 and my doctorate in veterinary medicine from University of Pennsylvania in 2006. I moved to Ocala to pursue an equine internship at Ocala Equine Hospital. I worked at OEH as an ambulatory equine practitioner and then transitioned into companion animal veterinary work at Live Oak Animal Clinic. Myself and Debra Rakes, DVM purchased the practice in October 2016. My husband and I have two children now – an exciting time! We have a few horses, dogs and a mini collection of cats. I have added a flock of chickens and one day soon hope to add hives of bees.
